Buendia, 24, has been a talisman this season for a Norwich side that clinched promotion back to the Premier League with the Championship title.

  1. ACCORDING TO THE TELEGRAPH: Villa are prepared to compete with Premier League rivals Arsenal for the attacker’s signature.

It is stated that Dean Smith’s Villa are now “preparing an offer” for the Argentine playmaker.

The report explains that the Norwich star could end up costing as much as £40million to sign during the summer transfer window. It adds Villa’s aim to complete business early this summer could force Arsenal into ramping up their interest in him.

Buendia, who scored 15 goals and set up 17 assists in the Championship league season this year, is a gifted technician that looked a class above in the second tier.

The right-winger showed in patches his ability during his spell with Norwich in the Premier League during the 2019/20 campaign, but he’s set to return now a far better player.

TBR’s View:
Buendia definitely has the ability to follow in the footsteps of other Championship superstars that can shine in the Premier League

His footballing brain is exactly the reason he should be able to perform at a higher level, albeit both Villa and Arsenal fail to offer European football next season.

Villa would have a frightening attack if you added him into an XI with Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins.

Alternatively, he’s got the X-factor that Arsenal need to try add to their squad at the Emirates Stadium to try enjoy a much stronger season next year.
